It has become a tradition at my mom’s house to make waffles and bacon every Sunday morning. The waffles are made from the recipe in the Joy of Cooking and make you just want to cry they are so good. Yesterday’s were especially nice and looked as if they were waiting for Mr. DeMille and their closeup. Keifel is already addicted and gets a little cranky if we have the opportunity to spend Sunday in Kingston and miss the waffles. Mom sent some home with us so we can indulge in the confines of our duplex in Nashville. It’s not quite the same though.
On a completely unrelated note, I picked up a copy of four of my favorite food porn magazines today: the Spring issue of Gastronomica, the summer issue (6 months late…) of Donna Hay, and the June issues of Olive and BBC Good Food. Poor Keifel. I will be utterly useless tonight.
