The first cookbook I ever owned was The Lucky Cookbook for Boys and Girls. The first books given to me as an aspiring cook going off to college and my first partial ownership in a dorm kitchen were the Reader’s Digest Creative Cooking and a 400-year-old mass market paperback edition of The Joy of Cooking. That, my friends, is how this all started.
But to get to our topic at hand: foodies I love. Me, I am such an anglophile in this context… I adore Nigella Lawson as the originator of the term gastroporn. She is truly a goddess. Go get her books. Watch her show. This woman is sex wielding a mezzaluna.
